SIPP – Self-Invested Personal Pension Plan

What is the Redswan SIPP?

The Redswan SIPP is a Self-Invested Personal Pension Plan or “SIPP” for short.

As the name suggests, it is a personal pension plan, which is a long-term investment primarily designed to provide an income for you in retirement. The self-invested reference is to the SIPP’s flexibility for you to be able to make your own investment decisions.

Under previous legislation it was a requirement for SIPPs to have a large financial institution as the provider; ours was the Bath Building Society. Since SIPPs became regulated by the then Financial Services Authority in April 2007, a provider is no longer needed but we have maintained our relationship with Bath Building Society.
